The day trips include an exploration of the churches and history found in Old Town Quito, the first UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Center, a ride up to an elevation of 4,000 m (13,123 ft) on the teleferico to gaze down into the city below, shopping at the artisan market filling the Plaza de Ponchos and spilling out into the streets at Otavalo or a trip to the plaza monument that marks the Equatorial Line in the village of the Mitad del Mundo.
If you are looking for something more adventurous, we offer a trip to Baños. Here the possibilities are endless: from river rafting to just chilling in the hot tubs and pools the city is famous for (and consequently named after).
